I must admit I was upset with the way the this was handled and how the hotel was presented. I cannot imagine the team represented the hotel the way the Patrick Pacious would have expected.
Will Stay Again! Very clean and spacious rooms. Great location just before Topsail Beach. Hot coffee 24 hrs a day, decent quick breakfast bar with all the basics. Very comfortable bed!
Great place to stay. The rooms were very nice and the staff was very friendly. They have a great free breakfast and the hotel is very clean. My family and I just stayed there this past weekend and had a ball. The pool area is very nice and clean. They could use a little more seating area out there, but other than that it's nice out there. They beach is like 3 minutes from there. The only thing about beach access points though is there is no place to rinse off after leaving the beach. I found that annoying and messy so we had to rinse off at the hotel before going to our room. Once again great hotel, and would definitely stay there again.
Might I suggest recording the reservation calls or come up with another way to document the process because this is completely unacceptable.
I read the core values of the hotel and one is Customer Focus - "Put the Customer at the Center of all Decisions" Clearly, this did not occur.
I am writing this review on behalf of my mother-n-law as she is not tech savvy and does not write reviews. I was so upset as to what happened to her that I thought others should know. We live in PA and unfortunately she had a funeral to attend to in NC on 9/23/2017. Therefore, she found the Quality Inn & Suites hotel and called on 9/18 to book the reservation for 9/22. After driving a number of hours to get to the hotel on 9/22, it was discovered that the representative that booked the hotel had her scheduled to check in on 9/18 (the day she called). This was obviously a mistake seeing as she called on 9/18 and the funeral was on 9/23. Exhausted from the drive she kindly asked for the Managers name and contact information and thought she would just reach out to the manager the next day to resolve the issue.
Rebranded Holiday Inn. Staff very courteous and competent. Location is very good to beach area. Pool is well maintained. Breakfast was good. However our room, and evidently some others suffered from extreme mustiness and humidity. Staff tried to help with deodorizing spray but that only was a very temporary cover-up. They know it's an issue. We had to purchase a deodorizing spray can just to tolerate the issue. Paying way too much to have to deal with this. Despite the pluses of the hotel we could never stay here again.
Fast forward to today; my mother-n-law reached out to Mrs. Taylor, the assistant manager and apparently there was nothing she could do because she stated that she could not prove whether it was a clerical error or if my mother-n-law booked the wrong date.
Very convenient to the pier, shopping and grocery store. Clerk on duty was very helpful finding a room on the first floor for me. One of the cleanest hotel I have stayed in recently. Breakfast is tops. This is the place to stay .
